Music on the Mall. This summer's Music on the Mall series will conclude tonight with a performance by Chicago musician Keith Scott. For the past 20 years he has built his reputation as a sizzling blues guitarist, dynamic performer, noteworthy songwriter and bandleader. Keith has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe both with his band and blues great Jimmy Dawkins. Central Campus Mall (rain site: The Cabin, Davies Center), 7 p.m. More information.

Summer Cinema. Featuring "Dogtown and Z-Boys" (US 2001, directed by Stacy Peralta, 91 min., rated PG-13). This Sundance-winning documentary gives an insider's look at how California kids in the 1970s brought their surfing style into skateboarding, revolutionizing the sport and producing a lifestyle that has had a profound effect on modern American youth culture. Through Aug. 2. A discussion will be held before the Aug. 1 screening. Davies Theatre, 7 p.m. More information.
Planetarium Program. Featuring "Constellations, Myths and Legends." Hear some of the stories about the night sky that have been passed from generation to generation. Last Day of Summer Session Classes.

Summer Commencement. Commencement exercises for 202 graduation candidates will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Zorn Arena. Tickets are not required. Charles Tomkovick, professor of management and marketing and the recipient of the 2006 Excellence in Teaching Award, will deliver the "Charge to the Class." A reception for graduates and guests will follow the ceremony on the Campus Mall. In case of rain, the reception will be held in the Spruce-Tamarack Room of Davies Center. More information.
Children's Planetarium Program. Featuring "Myths of the Summer Sky." Learn stories of the stars and learn to recognize constellations. Bring your astronomy questions and get answers! The current evening sky also will be discussed. Tickets are $2 and will be sold at the planetarium before the show. See related July 31 item. L.E. Phillips Planetarium, 11 a.m.
