ORSP early program deadline announced
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs announces the following early program deadline:

The early-bird Faculty/Student Collaborative Research Grants deadline is July 16. Please note that the individual college deans' offices may set earlier deadlines for their review processes. The regular deadline for this program is Sept. 15.

Guidelines for writing proposals for this program are available online. For more information, contact Karen Havholm at havholkg@uwec.edu or 836-3405.

Darwin Wittrock and UW-Eau Claire student researcher Matt Brewer presented a poster titled "Infection Patterns of Cryptosporidium spp. in Dairy Calves in Western Wisconsin" at the 59th Annual Midwestern Conference of Parasitologists June 14-16 at UW-Oshkosh.

Center for International Education
Jodi Simek presented "Celebrating International Women's Day: A Campus Collaboration" with colleagues from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Cornell University at the annual NAFSA: Association of International Educators conference May 29 in Minneapolis.

Births and Adoptions
Congratulations to Judy Berthiaume, News Bureau, and her husband, John Leary, who brought home their daughter, Erin Lee Leary, on June 8. Erin was born Dec. 22, 2006, in South Korea, and joins brothers Gunnar and Nicholas.
