PeopleSoft Campus Solutions on-site readiness surveys to begin Tuesday, June 19
PeopleSoft consultant John Gleason will be on campus starting Tuesday, June 19, to conduct readiness interviews with UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students. UW-Eau Claire's transition from in-house developed, mainframe-based student administrative systems to the UW System Common Systems initiative was announced April 11 by Chancellor Brian Levin-Stankevich in a memo to the campus community. Staff in the Development, Records and Registration, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Admissions areas have already begun attending training sessions and developing initial project plans.

Gleason will review the existing student system documents and environment, including any budgeting, planning and staffing materials that have been developed. He will conduct interviews with appropriate UW-Eau Claire personnel to determine high-level project planning, functional readiness and technical readiness. Final outcomes of this portion of initial consulting will include WHAT and WHY (project vision, implementation scope, objectives, constraints and risks, and dependencies), WHO (project organization and team structure), HOW (strategies, responsibilities, and protocol for the project), and WHEN (high-level timeline for the next phases).

UW-Eau Claire's Learning and Technology Services seeks as much input as possible as the university makes this transition. Invitations were sent to some areas of campus, but if you did not receive one and would like to participate in the interviews, please plan to attend one of the group sessions scheduled for the following times:

• 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19
• 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20
• 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, June 25
