David Jewett and collaborators from the food science and nutrition
department at the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota Obesity Center and the Minneapolis VA Medical Center had their article titled "Chronic Sucrose Ingestion Enhances Mu-opioid Discriminative Stimulus Effects" published in the July 19 issue of Brain Research, Vol. 1050, pages 48-52. The article describes how dietary factors (e.g., consumption of sucrose) enhance the subjective effects produced by an opioid that works similarly to morphine and codeine.

Sociology
Pamela Forman co-authored a chapter titled "Strategies and Struggles: The Governance of U.S. Collegiate Athletics," which appears in the book "Qualitative Organizational Research," edited by Kim Elsbach, Information Age Publishing, 2005. Marvin Washington, Roy Suddaby and Marc Ventresca co-authored the chapter. Forman also had her article "Amelie Mauresmo's Muscles: The Lesbian Heroic in Women's Professional Tennis" published in Women's Studies Quarterly, Vol. 33, 2005. Darcy Plymire co-authored the article.
