UW-Eau Claire recently received a major grant from the U.S. Department of Education to launch a comprehensive program aimed at reducing rates of drinking among first-year students. The program will involve collaboration among the university, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department, law enforcement, alcohol distributors, parents and students.
