Hydrorobics: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 6:15 to 7:15 a.m., McPhee Pool; Cardio/Strength: Mondays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Higherground; Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:15 to 7 a.m., McPhee Dance Studio; and Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Higherground; Step: Tuesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., McPhee 127; Spinning: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., McPhee 127. Lorie Line Tickets on Sale. Tickets will go on sale at the Service Center today for a Dec. 9 holiday concert by piano start Lorie Line and her Pop Chamber Orchestra. Full story.

Walter CraftMusic on the Mall. Featuring Walter Craft, a teller of tales and maker of music. Craft has performed virtually nonstop since the age of 3. He attended 27 schools in 12 years, served in the Air Force, went to college at the height of the 1960s folk scene and spent nine years on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Craft now performs mainly for children and elders and focuses on building communities through music. Audience members are invited to bring blankets or folding chairs for lawn seating. "The Man Who Wasn't There" logoSummer Cinema. "The Man Who Wasn't There." (U.S. 2001, directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, 116 min., rated R.) Shot in black and white, the production is an edgy film noir about an unhappy barber (Billy Bob Thornton) living in California in the mid-1940s. He discovers that his wife (Frances McDormand) has been unfaithful to him, so he concocts a blackmailing scheme to teach her a lesson. UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education and the Indianhead Arts & Education Center will offer many concerts throughout the summer at the IAEC gymnasium, 802 First Street, Shell Lake. Saturday, Aug. 7
graduation capSummer Commencement. Commencement exercises for 209 candidates for graduation will begin at 9:30 a.m. in Zorn Arena. Tickets are not required. Elizabeth Burmaster, Wisconsin's state superintendent of public instruction,
will deliver the "Charge to the Class." A reception for graduates and guests will follow the ceremony on the Central Campus Mall. In case of rain, the reception will be held in the Spruce-Tamarack Room of Davies Center. Full story.

Five individuals will be honored: Rita Kisting Sparks, Honorary Alumnus Award; Thomas Griffith, Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award; Susan Perry-Lindle, Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award; Charles Grossklaus, President's Award; and Carol Van Dam Falk, President's Award.
