Parking lot updates
Phillips, Nursing parking lots open
The improvement work on the Phillips and Nursing parking lots as well as the Davies metered parking areas has been completed and the lots are again open.

According to Gary Bartlett, Parking and Transportation Services, the three-week project that involved asphalt removal, slope and depressed area improvements and resurfacing went very well. "It looks good, and I think the smooth lot will be appreciated by everyone using it."

Schneider metered lot to close Aug. 4 for repairs
The Schneider metered lot will be closed for asphalt removal and resurfacing Aug. 4. The parking lot is is tentatively scheduled to reopen Aug. 18.

Parking permits to go on sale Aug. 4
UW-Eau Claire parking permits will be on sale beginning Aug. 4 at Parking and Transportation Services, Schneider 106. Permits may be purchased using Visa, MasterCard, Blugold card, check or cash.

Permits also may be purchased through payroll deduction. For more information, call Parking and Transportation Services at 836-2002 or send e-mail to Gary Bartlett at bartlege@uwec.edu.

Local singer-songwriter to give final Summer Session performance
Tom Brill will perform the great songs of the 1960s at a free outdoor concert Monday, July 28 — opening a nostalgic last week of Summer Session Programs at UW-Eau Claire.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. on the Central Campus Mall (rain site: Schofield Auditorium). Refreshments will be sold. Audience members are invited to bring blankets or folding chairs for lawn seating.

If you remember The Searchers, The Rivieras, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The Fortunes, Gene Pitney, Terry Stafford, Wilson Pickett, The Vogues and, of course, The Beatles, then you'll have a ball with Tom Brill (The Memories) as he revisits these great artists and their music.

Also on campus, the Summer Cinema series will conclude with "American Graffiti" Tuesday and Thursday at noon and 7 p.m. in Davies Theatre. The full story and schedule of free Summer Session programs at UW-Eau Claire can be found online.

Student Employment Job Fair set for Sept. 4
The UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid Office will sponsor the 12th annual Student Employment Job Fair Sept. 4. The fair, free of charge for campus employers and students, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

The job fair has proven to be a successful resource for employers looking to fill their academic year employment needs. If your department would like to be represented at the fair, contact Dale Johnson, Financial Aid, at 836-3373 or johnsodh@uwec.edu. The registration deadline is Aug. 18.
