Summer Fitness Classes. A variety of free fitness classes will be offered during summer session. Hydrorobics — Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:15-7:15 a.m., McPhee Pool; Combo Class — Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 a.m., McPhee 127; Spinning — Mondays and Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m.; and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m., McPhee 127; Step and Strength — Mondays and Tuesdays, 4-5 p.m., McPhee 127; Hi/Low Toning (June 10-July 3) — Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-12:45 p.m., Zorn Arena; and Deep Water Hydrorobics — Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 a.m., McPhee Pool. On-site seated massage and table massage are available during Summer Session. Call 836-3377 to make an appointment or visit the University Recreation Web site for more information.

Jazz at Noon. Featuring UW-Eau Claire and area jazz musicians. A variety of grilled lunch items will be sold. Central Campus Mall (rain site: The Cabin, Davies Center), noon to 1 p.m. Through June 20.

October SkySummer Cinema. "October Sky." (U.S. 1999, directed by Joe Johnston, 108 minutes, rated PG.) As a high-school kid in October 1957, Homer Hickham watched the Russian satellite Sputnik cross the night sky over Coalwood, W. Va. With the help of three buddies, he sets out to build a successful rocket — despite the disapproval of his father, the mine superintendent who is determined to save his impoverished town’s way of life and bring his son down to earth.
