React To Tragedy
|
September 20, 2001
I am very thankful that I did not lose any of my loved ones, but I am still
at risk of losing family members. I have family members in the Air Force
and Army. My sister is at West Point in New York. She is terrified. There have been numerous threats made against them since the attack... My
other family members in the military are on call. If we go to war, they
are going. I am at risk of losing half of my family due to someone else's
ignorance. My only thought is that God is with all of us, and he is
taking care of us. I am glad to hear that the wonderful school I went to
is supporting all of the victims, but we cannot let ourselves forget that this
issue is not resolved. Someone is responsible for all of this pain, and
their judgment day is coming. Thank you to everyone for caring and supporting
our country.
Sincerely,
Melissa A. Johnson ’00 (B)
