Chippewa River Adventure Camp to be offered April 26

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Environmental Adventure Center will offer the Chippewa River Adventure Camp, a one-day outdoor adventure program for boys and girls ages 8-16, from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. April 26 at Round Hill in Durand.

A variety of outdoor activities will be offered and could include canoeing, kayaking, fishing, archery, map and compass, rifle range, outdoor cooking and a GPS treasure hunt. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in four activities.

The cost for the camp is $40 per person, which includes instruction, equipment and lunch. Parents or other adult chaperones are welcome to accompany the group at no additional cost.

To register, send checks payable to the UW-Eau Claire Environmental Adventure Center to: Dan Langlois, UW-Eau Claire Hilltop Recreation Center, 105 Garfield Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701.

Those interested also may sign up and submit registration fees at the UW-Eau Claire Archery Range from 4-7 p.m. weekdays.
