Volunteers sought for Senior Americans DayFebruary 11, 2014
EAU CLAIRE — Organizers of the 26th Annual Senior Americans Day March 18 are seeking volunteers to assist with this year's event in the W.R. Davies Student Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Senior Americans Day brings nearly 600 active older adults to campus for a day of learning, fun and camaraderie. This year the event features a keynote address, more than 30 workshops as well as door prizes, exhibitors and musical entertainment. The theme is "Fun, Fit, Focused and Fulfilled!"
Volunteers are needed between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 18. They may choose specific time slots or sign up for the entire day. Duties may include assisting with parking, giving directions and being available to help participants throughout the day. Volunteers also may assist in facilitating guest lunches, as well as helping exhibitors and presenters set up and take down materials.
Individuals interested in volunteering should contact Katie Hennagir at firstname.lastname@example.org or 715-836-3636. For additional event information, visit the Senior Americans Day website.
