Sean Carey returns to alma mater for S. Carey concert April 26

EAU CLAIRE — S. Carey, moniker of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music alumnus Sean Carey, will perform at 8 p.m. April 26 in UW-Eau Claire's Schofield Auditorium.

The performance will conclude S. Carey's three-week tour, which will launch following the April 1 release of his second album, "Range of Light." The tour kicks off April 3 at the Mission Creek Festival in Iowa City.

S. Carey released his first album, "All We Grow," in 2010.

Carey, also a drummer/vocalist for the indie-rock group Bon Iver, earned a bachelor's degree in music from UW-Eau Claire in 2007 before joining Bon Iver, which received two 2012 Grammy Awards in the categories of best new artist and best alternative music album. Carey continues to reside in the Eau Claire area when not touring.

Tickets for the S. Carey concert, which also will include opening act White Hinterland, will be on sale beginning Feb. 3 from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-9 p.m. weekends at the Service Center in the east lobby of Davies Center and through all UW-Eau Claire ticketing options (including phone and online sales).
