EAU CLAIRE — The dedication ceremony to unveil Centennial Hall, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's first new academic building in more than 30 years, will take place at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 5 on the third floor of the new building. The general public is welcome to attend.

The approximately 182,000-square-foot building, located between Schneider Hall and Zorn Arena, houses UW-Eau Claire's College of Education and Human Sciences administrative units; significant new classroom space for use by the entire campus; the departments of education studies, English, languages and special education; and select student support services, including Services for Students with Disabilities, the Student Success Center and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

The dedication — to be held on the anniversary of the 1910 selection of UW-Eau Claire's building site along Little Niagara Creek — will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and program with a reception to follow. Tours of the new building also will be offered. Parking will be available from 10 a.m. to noon in the HSS parking lot, just east of the Human Sciences and Services Building on Water Street.
