Continuing Education to offer spring grant-writing workshopsJanuary 21, 2014
EAU CLAIRE — Registration is now open for two grant-writing workshops offered through University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension. Both workshops will be held on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
Jeremy T. Miner, director of grants and contracts in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at UW-Eau Claire and president of Miner and Associates Inc., a nationwide grant seeking and fundraising services consulting firm, is the instructor for both workshops. The workshops are designed for nonprofit professionals, small business owners and others who need training in proposal writing in order to obtain funding.
- "Proposal Planning and Writing 1" will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, April 1-22. The cost to attend is $195 per person through March 3 and $225 per person after March 3. Each participant will receive a copy of "Proposal Planning and Writing," fifth edition.
- "Proposal Planning and Writing 2" will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays, June 3-24. The cost to attend is$195 per person through May 3 and $225 per person after May 3. Each participant will receive a copy of "Collaborative Grantseeking: A Guide to Designing Projects, Leading Partner, and Persuading Sponsors," 2011 edition.
A discounted price of $365 is available to participants registering for both workshops at the same time. A limited number of partial scholarships through the Otto Bremer Foundation are available for qualified applicants.
