Freshman from Chili receives Virginia Allen and Paul L. James ScholarshipSeptember 20, 2013
EAU CLAIRE — UW-Eau Claire freshman Chase Friedemann, Chili, has been awarded the Virginia Allen and Paul L. James Scholarship for the 2013-14 academic year.
The scholarship, funded through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, was established through the estate of Virginia Allen James, a 1938 UW-Eau Claire graduate who enjoyed a long career as a teacher. It is awarded annually to an outstanding freshman student from Wisconsin who shows great potential and financial need, and is renewable with good academic progress. Qualifying students must rank in the top 25 percent of their graduating class.
