Kaleidoscope of Nursing Research Day set for May 3May 2, 2013
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Delta Phi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau will sponsor Kaleidoscope of Nursing Research Day from noon-4 p.m. May 3 in Rooms 119 and 119A of the Nursing Building.
Interim Chancellor Gilles Bousquet will welcome keynote speaker Dr. Katharyn May, dean of UW-Madison's School of Nursing, at noon when she will present "Nursing and New Technologies: Reflections on Nurse Chapel and her Tricorder."
Dean May will address how nurses must play a major role in developing, evaluating and using emerging health technologies through research and clinical scholarship, so that these new tools will be well-suited to the demands of nursing science and practice.
The annual event highlights nursing research from community partners and student nurses. The event is a forum for sharing new knowledge and networking among nursing students and professionals.
