Juried Student Art Show to open April 4

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's 56th annual Juried Student Art Show will open with a reception at 7:30 p.m. April 4 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Art Center. Award winners and recipients of art scholarships will be announced at 8 p.m.

The juror for the show is Jen Pepper, associate professor of art at Cazenovia College in New York, where she also serves as gallery director. Pepper is an artist who has exhibited work nationally and internationally. Her work has been seen in the U.K., Japan, Canada, New York City and other cities throughout the United States.

Pepper will visit UW-Eau Claire March 29, when she will finalize the student award winners and present an artist's lecture at 10 a.m. in Room 101 of Haas Fine Arts Center.

The student art show will run through April 25.

Foster Gallery hours are 10 4:30 p.m. weekdays, 6-8 p.m. Thursdays and 1-4:30 p.m. weekends.
