EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students are invited to participate in the Leadership Seminar Series, a free eight-week, non-credit opportunity to explore leadership with peers, beginning in the spring 2013 semester.
The program will be offered during two different time frames: from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 31-March 28; and from 2-3:30 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 4-April 1. The series will be facilitated by Katy Rand, coordinator of student leadership, and Chris Pahl, Towers North residence hall director.
The series curriculum will include the history and evolution of leadership; evaluation of personal strengths, preferences and ability to work with others; effective leadership and positive change strategies. In addition to the seminar meetings, students will be able to communicate with each other via a Facebook group to promote interaction beyond the sessions.
The seminar series, sponsored by the Activities, Involvement and Leadership office of the University Centers, is available for up to 20 students in each of the sessions. Students may register online through Jan. 25.
