Student health insurance available for purchaseDecember 12, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Senate invites new and returning students to consider the 2012-13 UW-Eau Claire student health insurance plan. Insurance coverage begins Dec. 30, 2012, and runs through Aug. 29, 2013.
For students under 30, the cost is $686, which can be paid in two equal installments in December and April. For students who are 31 and older, the cost is $894, which also can be paid in two installments.
Other rates apply for spouse and family coverage.
Students may stop by the Student Senate office in Room 220 of Davies Center or visit the Student Senate website for information about eligibility and enrollment.
The student health insurance program is provided by the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate through insurance agent Donald Southard Sr. of Southard Insurance Agency and underwritten by Columbian Life Insurance Co.
