University Symphony Orchestra to perform benefit concert Oct. 29 in Hudson

The concert is free, however, donations will be collected to benefit two Hudson-area community members undergoing cancer treatment: Roger Davis and Reese Becker, daughter of UW-Eau Claire alumnus Eric Becker.
The orchestra will perform a variety of works, including Symphony No. 4 by Johannes Brahms and "Peer Gynt" Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg, which will include the Hudson High School orchestra. Dr. Melissa Koprowski, assistant professor of music, will be featured on clarinet in Gioacchino Rossino's "Introduction, Theme and Variations for Clarinet and Orchestra."
The Hudson High School orchestra, under the direction of UW-Eau Claire alumnus Jack Young also will perform a few pieces during the concert.
