International Folk Fair set for Nov. 4 at UW-Eau ClaireOctober 24, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host the 2012 International Folk Fair from noon-4 p.m. Nov. 4 in UW-Eau Claire's Davies Center. The event is free and open to the public.
One of the largest cultural celebrations in the Chippewa Valley, the International Folk Fair celebrates culture from around the world while bringing together the community for an educational and enriching experience.
Participants can sample foods from around the world, such as baklava, dumplings, egg rolls, tamales, German cheesecake, fry bread and more. They also can experience the history and languages of other cultures and enjoy entertainment by international performers. The Hmong Student Association, the Chinese Culture Club and the Irish Dance Club will be among the groups performing.
