SUBJECT: Confluence cleanup event set for 3-6 p.m. today

Volunteers from UW-Eau Claire and the Eau Claire community will gather this afternoon for a "Help Clean Up the Confluence" event. Volunteers will meet at 3 p.m. near the Haas Fine Arts Center sculpture garden to get maps and supplies.

Organizers from UW-Eau Claire's department of geography and anthropology and the Student Office of Sustainability say their goal is to bring people together to help preserve the beauty of the Eau Claire and Chippewa rivers.
