Student leadership conference set for Oct. 21 at UW-Eau ClaireOctober 10, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — The uWEc Lead Leadership Conference will be held from noon-5 p.m. Oct. 21 in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The program is open to students from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout and Chippewa Valley Technical College.
UW-Eau Claire alumnus Michael Ojibway, a diversity and equal opportunity specialist at Chippewa Valley Technical College, will be this year's keynote speaker.
The conference will focus on such topics as making the most of your organization's adviser, exploring student affairs, online organizational management, bullying, time management, professional presentation, resume building and stress management. Lunch will be provided and participants will receive a certificate of achievement.
The event is open to the first 185 students who register. The last day for registration is Oct. 15.
The program is sponsored by the UW-Eau Claire College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Human Sciences, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, University Centers, the UW-Stout Involvement Center and CVTC's Student Life Office.
