Garfield Avenue reopens, campus hill to be closed to traffic beginning Aug. 22August 21, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — Garfield Avenue on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus has reopened to through traffic. The street had been closed since June 25 for construction of a new steam line and storm sewer that will serve the university’s new Education Building.
During construction, the Garfield Avenue hill connecting the university's upper and lower campus was opened to vehicular traffic. Effective Aug. 22, the hill will again be closed to motorized vehicles.
