Online adult learning certificate offered through UW-Eau Claire Continuing EducationAugust 3, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education is accepting registrations for its new online graduate Adult Learning Certificate program. Designed for educators in technical and community colleges, community and personal enrichment programs, correctional facilities, adult literacy programs as well as professional development settings, the 15-credit certificate is composed of five courses offered twice over a two-year period.
Participants may take the courses individually or complete all five to earn their Adult Learning Certificate. Each three-graduate-credit course is eight weeks long.
The courses, which are offered on a rotating schedule beginning Oct. 1, may be taken in any order with the exception of the capstone course. The courses are:
- ES 780, Developing, Evaluating and Sustaining Collaborative Programs.
- ES 778, Organizing Instruction for Adults.
- ES 779, Working Effectively with Adults.
- ES 776, Teaching Adult Learners.
- ES 781, Capstone: Developing and Assessing Programs for Adults.
The course instructors, Dr. Sue McIntyre, Dr. Robert Hollon and Dr. Mickey Kolis, are UW-Eau Claire faculty members who have years of experience working with adult students in a multitude of learning environments.
