Registration opens for Continuing Education geriatric health seriesJuly 30, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education is accepting registrations for a series of geriatric health programs. The workshops are designed for psychologists, social workers, therapists, counselors, mental health providers, and health care and other human services professionals working with elderly individuals.
The following workshops, which will be held in Eau Claire, have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards:
- Dangers and Benefits of Medications in the Elderly, 8-11:30 a.m. Oct. 29.
- Depression, Anxiety and Cognitive Disorders: Assessment and Treatment in the Elderly, 1-4:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
- Nutritional State, Functional Status and Health Literacy, 8-11:30 a.m. Feb. 28, 2013.
- Music Therapy in Gerontology, 1-4:30 p.m. Feb. 28, 2013.
The cost to attend is $89 per workshop; $169 for a full day (two workshops); or $319 for all four workshops.
