Registration opens for Continuing Education adolescent mental health programs

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education is accepting registrations for its Adolescent Mental Health Certificate Program. The workshops are designed for psychologists, social workers, therapists, counselors, mental health providers, and health care and other human services professionals.
Participants may take one or more programs or attend all four and earn a certificate in adolescent mental health and up to 13 continuing education contact hours. Participants also can apply to earn one graduate credit for completion of the full series.
Following are the Adolescent Mental Health Certificate Program offerings:
- An Introduction to Adolescent Mental Health: Identifying and Conceptualizing Adolescent Problems — 8-11:30 a.m. Nov. 8, Wisconsin Dells; or 8-11:30 a.m. April 11, 2013, Eau Claire.
- Practical Solutions to Adolescent Behavior Problems: Helping Parents Manage Teenager Behavior — 1-4:30 p.m. Nov. 8, Wisconsin Dells; or 1-4:30 p.m. April 11, 2013, Eau Claire.
- The Nuts and Bolts of Adolescent Anxiety: Practical Approaches and Therapeutic Interventions — 8-11:30 a.m. Nov. 9, Wisconsin Dells; or 8-11:30 a.m. April 12, 2013, Eau Claire.
- Teenagers in Despair: Helping Adolescents Manage Depression and Other Mood Problems — 1-4:30 p.m. Nov. 9, Wisconsin Dells; or 1-4:30 p.m. April 12, 2013, Eau Claire.
The cost to attend is $89 for a single workshop; $169 for a full day (two workshops); or $319 for all four workshops. Participants also can register to earn one graduate credit for completion of the series by adding $180 to the certificate fee (for a total of $499).
