Racine student awarded Opportunity Scholarship to attend UW-Eau Claire
July 9, 2012EAU CLAIRE — Natali Aranda, Racine, who will attend the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire this fall, has been awarded a Tim and Melissa Hoeppner Opportunity Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.
The Hoeppner Opportunity Scholarship, funded through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, is awarded to incoming freshmen with great potential to be successful students and leaders but extraordinary circumstances that make paying for a college education very challenging. Tim Hoeppner's employer, the MacArthur Foundation, also contributed corporate matching funds to fund the scholarship. As long as recipients make satisfactory academic progress, the scholarship may be renewed for four years.
UW-Eau Claire is frequently recognized as one of the nation's best educational values. U.S. News & World Report magazine consistently names UW-Eau Claire among the best public regional universities in the Midwest.
