SUBJECT: UW-Eau Claire estimated tuition and fees for 2012-13

The UW System Board of Regents this week will consider a 5.5 percent resident undergraduate tuition increase for 2012-13. If approved, tuition and segregated fees for UW-Eau Claire students will increase $661 to total $8,489 for the 2012-13 academic year.

Estimated 2012-13 UW-Eau Claire tuition will increase $628 to total $7,361, including an additional $300 toward UW-Eau Claire's Blugold Commitment. This will be the third of four planned annual differential tuition increases to support the university's initiative investing in high-impact educational experiences that prepare students to succeed when they graduate. Estimated 2012-13 segregated fees will increase $33 to total $1,128.

The estimated total cost for a resident undergraduate to attend UW-Eau Claire for the 2012-13 academic year (including a double-occupancy room rate of $3,192 and the most popular meal plan rate of $2,990) will be $14,671, an overall increase of 6.5 percent.
