Foreign language department to offer French, German certificate programs
May 14, 2012EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire foreign languages department recently introduced certificate programs in French and German proficiency. The programs will be open to students as well as community members.
According to the foreign languages department website, second-language proficiency is becoming an increasingly important skill in the job market. Proof of reading, writing, listening and speaking another language at a functional level can help future employees stand out among their peers.
No previous knowledge is necessary for the certificate programs. Nine credits are required past the 202 level to complete each program. Visit the program website for more details.
