UW-Eau Claire fraternity to assist with April 29 Walk MS eventApril 27, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — For the second consecutive year, members of the Epsilon Chi chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will assist and participate in Walk MS 2012, an April 29 fundraiser sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter. Signup begins at 9 a.m. in the east lobby of Davies Center; the walk begins at 10 a.m.
Walk MS Eau Claire-Chippewa Valley is presented to support those who are diagnosed with muscular sclerosis and those who love and care for them. This year's event is being presented in 18 Wisconsin communities to raise awareness and raise funds that drive research for a cure for MS.
As well as assisting with setup and cleanup, FIJI members will help participants register, hand out supplies and direct people through the course. The men's fraternity plans to support this event each year.
Founded in 1848, Phi Gamma Delta is a men's social fraternity represented on 144 campuses throughout the United States and Canada. The UW-Eau Claire chapter was founded in 1975.
