Information systems students to receive 2012-13 scholarships
April 26, 2012EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire information systems department has awarded the following scholarships for the 2012-13 academic year:
- 3M Scholarship: Logan Leske, a junior IS business analysis major from Eau Claire, and Tyrrell Wirkus, a senior IS business analysis and accounting double major from Edgar, will receive $500 awards.
- Cargill Scholarship: Alex Molter, a senior IS business analysis major from Elm Grove, will receive a $300 award.
- Federated Insurance Scholarship: Mitch Miles, a senior IS systems development and accounting double major from Eau Claire, will receive a $1,000 award.
- Germonprez Family IS Scholarship: Beatris Mendez Gandica, a senior IS business analysis and international business double major from Venezuela, and Sarah Munson, a senior IS business analysis and accounting double major from New Richmond, will receive $1,500 awards.
- IS Department Scholarship: Jakob Broesch, a senior IS business analysis major from Hales Corners, will receive a $500 award.
- St. Paul Travelers Scholarship: Beatris Mendez Gandica, a senior IS business analysis and international business double major from Venezuela, and Lauren Philippi, a junior IS business analysis major from Lino Lakes, Minn., will receive $2,500 awards.
The following students have been awarded a laptop computer: Thomas Barker, a senior IS systems development major from Eagan, Minn., and Mary Scherkenbach, a senior IS business analysis major from Eau Claire.
The scholarships are funded by gifts made through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. The student laptop computers were funded by UW-Eau Claire alumni Rick Schroder and Evelyn Zabo through a gift to the Foundation.
