Mabrey to receive Karl Andresen Political Science Scholarship

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire senior Stephanie Mabrey, Franklin, is the recipient of the Karl Andresen Political Science Scholarship.

The award was established by the former students of Dr. Karl Andresen, professor emeritus of political science.

The scholarship award recognizes a graduating senior who has demonstrated academic excellence and the promise of future academic achievements. As the recipient, Mabrey will receive an award of $3,500.

"I am honored to receive this award and I am very grateful for the generosity of those who have made this possible," said Mabrey.

Mabrey will graduate in May with a major in economics and a minor in political science. She plans to pursue a master's degree in public affairs at UW-Madison.

A member of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate, Mabrey serves as the director of the Student Services Commission.

The award will be presented during the Honors and Pi Sigma Alpha celebration reception May 3. The reception will begin at 5 p.m. in the Alumni Room of Davies Center.
