Children's story time to feature UW-Eau Claire international studentsApril 19, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — Twelve University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire foreign exchange students enrolled in "Integrated Skills," an English as a Second Language class, will serve as guest readers at the April 24 story time session in the university's McIntyre Library.
The approximately 45-minute story time session, open to children from UW-Eau Claire's Children's Center and children and grandchildren of faculty, staff, students and the general public, will begin at 10:15 a.m. in the Instructional Media Center on the library's lower level.
The international students will read a book or lead a song or activity they've selected and have been practicing for several weeks. International students participating will be Yijia Chen, Junjie "Jason" Shi, Chengyi "Sam" Li, Qiang Zhang, Lisha Chen, Chuyao Zheng Hao, Junjie "Troy" Lu, and Jiayan " Blake" Zhu from China; Yoshie Oshima from Japan; Abdullah Alzahrani and Nouf Alfallaj from Saudi Arabia; and Victor Roblero Rojas from Chile.
