SUBJECT: Research finds link between 'cognitive load' and political ideology
Dr. Jeffrey Goodman, assistant professor of psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, was a co-author of a recently published article reporting the results of research into the effect of "cognitive load" on an individual's political ideology.
The article, "Low-Effort Thought Promotes Political Conservatism," appears in the April 2012 issue of the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.
The article reports the findings of a series of studies that examined subjects' consideration of political terms
