Continuing Education to offer four new programs for nonprofit professionals

EAU CLAIRE — Registration is now open for four new programs for nonprofit professionals offered by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education. All programs will be held at the Best Western Trail Lodge, 3340 Mondovi Road, Eau Claire.
- "The IRS 990, the Nonprofit Agency and Organizational Ethics" will be held May 22 from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Nick Smiar, UW-Eau Claire professor emeritus of social work, is the instructor.
- "Top Trends for High Impact Volunteer Engagement" will be held May 22 from 1-4:30 p.m. The instructors are from the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration.
- "Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence" will be held June 13 from 8-11:30 a.m. James Toscano, principal for the Toscano Advisors LLC consulting group, is the instructor.
- "Leadership Development from the Bottom Up" will be held June 13 from 1-4:30 p.m. James Toscano and Dania Toscano Miwa, managing principal for Toscano Advisors, are the instructors.
The fee for each program is $89 per person. The Otto Bremer Foundation is making limited partial scholarships available for these programs.
