SUBJECT:UW-Eau Claire's Fifth Element in finals of national competition
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's a cappella ensemble Fifth Element has made it to the final round of a nationwide competition to open for musician Andy Grammer.
UW-Eau Claire's all collegiate a cappella musicians are competing in the final round of the competition against Six Appeal, a professional group from Minneapolis.
People can vote for Fifth Element online, where videos of the two competing groups are posted. To view the videos and/or vote, go to http://www.topblip.com/contest/bracket/58/2611. Voting will end at 11 p.m. TODAY!

Members of Fifth Element are senior Joseph Holtan, a mass communication-advertising major from Port Washington; junior Timothy Mattson, a music education-choral teaching major from Brooklyn Park, Minn.; senior Ryan Cook, a kinesiology-human performance major (pre-professional pre-chiropractic) from Green Bay; junior AJ Vanden Heuvel, a theatre arts major from Kaukauna; junior Andrew Schwab, an English-teaching major from Winona, Minn.; and sophomore William Berendsen, a music education-choral teaching major from Oshkosh.
