Continuing Education to offer GEMS youth programs

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education announces the continuation of the Great Explorations in Math and Science (GEMS) program in spring 2012. GEMS workshops will be offered from 10 a.m.-noon in April and May in Phillips Hall on the UW-Eau Claire campus. Dates and topics are as follows:

The GEMS program brings science and math to life for students in grades four through eight. Led by dynamic university faculty, each workshop explores a different area of scientific discovery through experiments, demonstrations and hands-on activities. Parents are welcome to stay and learn alongside their children at no additional cost.

The fee for each GEMS workshop is $15 per student. On-site registration will be offered as space allows. Call before 3 p.m. the Friday before the workshop to check on space availability.
