Fly-fishing workshop set for March

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Environmental Adventure Center, in collaboration with the Clearwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited, will offer a two-part fly-fishing workshop this month.

The workshop will run from 4-8 p.m. March 5 and March 7 in the McPhee Physical Education Center.

The workshop will introduce participants to the basic components of fly-fishing, familiarize them with equipment and teach them to cast and tie basic flies.

Members of the Clearwater Chapter of Trout Unlimited also will discuss conservation and healthy stream habitats.

The cost of the workshops is $20 per person for community members and UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff, and $15 for students.
