UW-Eau Claire sororities to celebrate International Badge Day March 5February 29, 2012
EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire sororities will celebrate International Badge Day March 5 to celebrate and promote sisterhood.
"This day is set aside to join together as members of the Greek community and celebrate sisterhood and our accomplishments as sorority members," said Brittany Trangsrud of Bloomington, Minn., a member of Delta Zeta. Members of the three campus sororities — Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta and Sigma Sigma Sigma — will participate by wearing nice attire and their badges.
International Badge Day was established in 1997 by the National Panhellenic Conference for women across the nation to wear their sorority badges or Greek letters. Founded in 1902, the Indianapolis-based conference provides support and guidance for 26 member sororities and serves as the national voice on contemporary issues in sorority life.
