Singer-songwriter Ben Rosenbush to perform free shows Feb. 24-25February 14, 2012
In 2009 Rosenbush and his band The Brighton released a well-received self-titled album of orchestral folk rock that evoked Fleet Foxes and Jon Foreman. He and his band toured around the country with artists including Jordan Riesgraf, Jeremy Messersmith and Sarah Groves. Rosenbush describes his group's sophomore album as "something vintage and something modern, and all rolled together into something new."
"These songs are full of stories," Rosenbush says. "They are stories that tell about love and tragedy, finding life and losing life, having a dream and also letting one go, coming home, leaving home ... I've found that sometimes the best way to walk into your own story is by walking into another's."
