Karen certainly keeps busy outside the classroom. She is involved with Blugold softball, Campus Ambassadors, Athletes In Action, Cru, Public Relations Student Society of America, University Honors Program and National Society of Leadership and Success. She also has been in Women's Concert Chorale, Symphonic Choir, Women's Chorus and has been an RA in Oak Ridge Hall.

Karen said she chose UW-Eau Claire because she knew she wanted to get a great education and play Division III athletics. UW-Eau Claire's beautiful campus was an attraction as well. Karen loves the softball program, academic reputation and feel of the entire community.



Tayo Sanders II

Major: Materials Science
Minor: Chemistry

Tayo makes the most of his time by staying active on Campus. He participates in undergraduate research for Materials Science and represents the American Chemical Society as an officer. Additionally, he finds time to give tours as a Campus Ambassador, play all manner of recreation league sports, and lead the Triathlon Club as a co-captain.
 
Tayo set his sights on UW-Eau Claire for its strong science programs and commitment to striving for a more personal educational experience. The vast array of opportunities to explore his interests and the stunning vistas also solidified his campus choice.
 
In April Tayo will be presenting at the national ACS conference in New Orleans and representing UWEC at USA Triathlon nationals in Tempe, AZ.
