Adult Student Welcome

*Two Condensed Two-Hour Sessions are also available, held in OL 1128:

Tuesday, June 25 from 9 to 11 am or

Tuesday, July 16 from 1 to 3 pm

If you are a new or transfer student you will be required to attend an orientation session. However, the Adult Student Welcome is a separate, additional program specifically for nontraditional students who may be new to the university, readmitted or transferring in.  We will acquaint you with services and opportunities for nontraditional students at UW-Eau Claire.

8:45 to 9:00               Check in and Welcome
9:00 to 10:15 am       Orientation with Bonnie:  Campus Resources, Understanding Your
                                  Degree Audit, and tips from current nontrad students
10:15 to 11:15 am     Library Tour
11:15 to 11:30 am      Return to L1033 for Joan Fleming Intro and 
                                   walk to Davies Center for lunch
11:30am to 1:00 pm   Lunch with Joan Fleming and currently enrolled
                                   nontrad students for Q & A
1:00 to 2:15 pm          Campus Technology (L 1033): Log-on to UWEC, Email, 
                                   How to Use D2L, MyBlugold CampS, and Registration
2:15 to 3:00 pm          Other Options following the session:

  • Veteran Open House, in Veteran Services, S 128, with Miranda Cross-Schindler, Military Education Benefits Coordinator
  • Get student ID - Find Your Classrooms
  • Pick up Textbooks - Parking Permit
  • Last minute questions with Bonnie in Schofield 226
  • Anything else that needs to be finalized

*Condensed sessions will include a presentation of campus resources by the Nontraditional Student Adviser, Bonnie Isaacson, Q & A with current nontraditional students, and a campus tour.
