Course for Incoming Adult Students!

GEN 100.703  Foundations for Academic Success
1 Credit     Monday & Wednesdays 11:00 to 11:50 am  SSS 310
The first 8 weeks of the semester:  1/26/15 --- 3/22/15


GEN 100 is a course designed specifically to assist adult students
 make the most of their return to the university and
 lay a solid groundwork for continued success.

Course topics include:

  • Balance Life, Work, Family, and College
  • How to Use the Library
  • Where to go for Technology Support
  • Manage Time and Handle Stress Successfully
  • Increase Academic Self-Confidence and Succeed on Tests
  • Improve Classroom Skills and  Study Strategies
  • Math Anxiety & Study Tips
  • Write Effective College Papers
  • Understanding Course Registration & Degree Requirements
  • And much more!

Pre-assignment permission is required.  Class size is limited to 20 students.

    > First or second semester nontraditional students

           ~ Have a significant break in education since high school

     > Re-admitted students after a break since last attending UW-Eau Claire
