Note:  Students attending under "Special Student" status are not eligible for most forms of Financial Aid/Scholarships.  They may, however, apply for the Returning Adult Student Fund.  


Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) Scholarship
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in the BPS Degree Completion Program, in good academic standing with 2.5 GPA or higher, demonstrate unmet financial need through the FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office, be willing to use scholarship money only for tuition, and be enrolled for the application semester. 
Award: $500 to $2,000

Louise E. Carter
Eligibility: Preferably a junior, senior, or graduate nontraditional student with financial need, returning to school after an interruption in their education. Preference will be for students planning a career in social work, psychology, nursing, or other helping professions with career plans involving counseling or recovery efforts for people with problems with alcohol, substance abuse or eating disorders.  Candidates must be in good academic standing with indications of a promising and successful career in counseling.  The award may be renewed in subsequent years by submitting an application.

Nan Pickett Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled at UW-Eau Claire, age 25 or older, and be in good academic standing. Applicants must have a major (or minor) in one of the following areas: Biology, Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Chemistry/Business Emphasis, Geography, Geology, Physics, Astronomy, Environmental Science, Marine Science, Computational Science, Computer Science, Environmental and Public Health or Nursing.
Award: $400

Clara B. Small Scholarships
Eligibility: One award is available annually to a nontraditional student in the College of Arts and Sciences, graduate or undergraduate, who is currently enrolled at least half time and whose cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above. Scholarships may be renewed for a period of 7 subsequent years provided the recipient maintains an overall GPA of at least 3.5 and maintains at least half time enrollment. Nontraditional Student Services (836-3259) can provide information regarding whether new scholarships are available or they are in the renewal phase only. Notifications of the award determinations will be sent to award recipients only.
Award: $1,500  (The Small Award is not currently open for application.)
