Nontraditional Student Services determines many of the following Foundation Scholarships. Notifications of the award determinations will be sent to award recipients only by the approximate award dates noted in the scholarships.
AAUW-Eau Claire Branch Scholarship
Eligibility: Scholarships are available to returning women students at UW-Eau Claire. Applicants must be 23 or older, currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program offered by or affiliated with UW-Eau Claire and in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or above). Applications will be accepted January 1 through April 15.
Award: Minimum of $500

Patricia H. Anderson Memorial PEO, Chapter AP
Eligibility: This scholarship is for nontraditional female students, freshman through senior, at UW-Eau Claire. Applicants can be single female parents or any nontraditional female student trying to improve their situation through education. Applicants must show financial need through the FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office.
Award: $1,000
Number Awarded Yearly: Three
Deadline: April 1 (Application process is closed for Spring 2013)

Blugold Promise-Graupner
Eligibility: The Charles and Deborah Graupner Blugold Promise Scholarships shall be awarded to outstanding freshman students (30 credits or less) who have graduated from a Wisconsin high school, been accepted to UW-Eau Claire, and demonstrate significant financial need. The preference is for students who are single parents or have experienced other nontraditional pathways to the university. To be considered, students must have a well-rounded high school record of academic achievement, leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities. Recipients who have a successful first year at UW-Eau Claire and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 by the end of the year will receive a $1,000 scholarship the following academic year.

Blugold Promise-Sundstrom
Eligibility: The Sundstrom Blugold Promise Scholarships shall be awarded to an outstanding freshman student (30 credits or less) who has graduated from a Wisconsin high school, been accepted to UW-Eau Claire, and demonstrate significant financial need. The preference is for an incoming freshman from Durand High School who meets the definition of a nontraditional student as well as first generation (neither parent has a four-year college degree). To be considered, students must have a well-rounded high school record of academic achievement, leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities. Recipients who have a successful first year at UW-Eau Claire and maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 by the end of the year will receive a $1,000 scholarship the following academic year.

Chancellor's Scholarships for Nontraditional Incoming Students
Eligibility: Incoming freshman or transfer nontraditional students seeking a bachelor's degree who are eligible at the point of admission, will automatically be considered for any incoming freshman scholarship. Applications will be evaluated based on a variety of criteria including: academic achievement in previous college or high school coursework, prior life experiences, potential for academic success at UW-Eau Claire, evidence of previous service and/or leadership experience, and the quality of the essay submitted. As you are filling out your application for admission, make sure to keep in mind the criteria that will be reviewed for scholarship purposes.

Lyla Flagler Award
Eligibility: Mature individuals who formerly attended UW-Eau Claire without graduating and returned to complete their degree. Recipients must display financial need and should formerly have had an above-average scholastic record when they first attended the University. Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing. Notification of the award determination will be sent to award recipient only by the approximate award date noted in the scholarship.

Ellen M. Imbody Memorial Scholarship for Returning Women
Eligibility: Available to returning adult students attending UW-Eau Claire in either full or part-time capacities. Students must demonstrate financial need not met by traditional forms of financial assistance with preference to be given to female, returning adult students. Must have FAFSA on file with the Financial Aid Office. Notification of the award determination will be sent to award recipient only by the approximate award date noted in the scholarship.

Mother's Day Scholarship
Eligibility: Applicants must be married or single mothers with children, currently enrolled at UW-Eau Claire in an undergraduate or graduate program, and in good academic standing.

Nontraditional Student Scholarship
Eligibility: Must be a nontraditional student, age 23 or older, currently enrolled and seeking an undergraduate degree at UW-Eau Claire. Must also have a FAFSA form on file in Financial Aid Office which demonstrates financial need and be in good academic standing. Notification of the award determination will be sent to award recipient only by the approximate award date noted in the scholarship.

Patches Scholarship
Eligibility: Applicants must be non-traditional UW-Eau Clairestudents with preference given to students who are parents and who demonstrate financial need not met by traditional focus of financial assistance. All applicants must have a FAFSA on file in the Financial Aid Office in order to beconsidered for this award. The award may be in the form of a scholarship or to assist the student with child care, medical expenses, commuting and transportation and for school-related supplies and materials. The main criterion is to support a non-traditional student who is having difficulty in his/her pursuit of a college degree because of extraordinary financial challenges. Notification of the award determination will be sent to award recipient only by the approximate award date noted in the scholarship.

Returning Student Grant Fund
Eligibility: Applicants must be nontraditional students, age 23 or over, returning to school after an interruption in their education, who are independent of parental support. Financial need required. Students enrolling as "specials" are eligible to apply. Awards are made each spring and fall semester (no Winterim or Summer awards). Notifications of the award determinations will be sent to award recipients only by the approximate award dates noted in the scholarship.

Wilbur, Valaria Kopplin Memorial
Eligibility: Recipient must be a self-supporting adult student or an adult of a self-supporting family unit currently enrolled at UWEC as a full- time junior or senior undergraduate carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours or is a graduate student carrying a minimum of 9 credit hours. Student must be from Northwestern Wisconsin, preferably from the Fall Creek High School. Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). Financial need must be documented. Preference will be given to those who do not have adequate financial aid or scholarship resources available. Use of the scholarship is restricted to tuition or other expenses through UW-Eau Claire (tuition credit awarded, not cash). This scholarship is renewable. Notification of the award determination will be sent to award recipient only by the approximate award date noted in the scholarship.
