Gianni Schicchi

Buoso Donati has just died and his relatives are feigning sorrow while looking for his will. When they discover he gave all his money to the church, they ask their neighbor, Gianni Schicchi, to pose as Buoso (no one knows he’s dead yet) and change the will. He double-crosses them out of all the money, and now his daughter Lauretta can marry Rinuccio.

Suor Angelica

Set in a convent in Italy at the end of the 17th century, Suor Angelica tells the story of the mysterious Sister Angelica, a young woman of obvious noble birth who has resided in the convent for the past seven years. In all that time, she has had no visitors and her background remains a secret, making her a fascination to the other nuns. At last her aunt, the Princess, comes to the convent and reveals a dark family secret that dramatically changes Angelica's life and causes her to make a drastic decision.
