Music Admission, Placement and Scholarship Auditions

Important note: This is NOT an application for admission to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Please contact the Admissions Office at 715-836-5415 or visit the UW-Eau Claire web site for information and application materials for admission to the University.

Please make sure to read the audition requirements before submitting an audition application. You may audition for acceptance into a music major or minor program prior to notification of admittance to the University.

*Voice Accompanist Services:
Your own accompanist is strongly recommended, but if you are unable to bring an
accompanist, you may request one. The request must be made TWO weeks in
advance. Send a photocopy of each song with your name and date of your audition
printed on the top of each piece of music. NOTE: You must bring the original
copyrighted music with you to the audition.

Keyboard Placement
Students accepted into the Department of Music and Theatre Arts will automatically
be placed into Beginning Class Piano (MUSI 106). If you have previous keyboard
experience and feel a more advanced class may be appropriate, please check below
and you will be given a keyboard placement exam on the day of your audition.
