Terry Allen is Professor of Theatre Arts and teaches courses in directing, advanced acting, playwriting, stage movement, voice and diction, and theatre history. In addition to his many acting, directing, and playwriting credits, he has found time to develop a new course in Theatre of the Holocaust and is a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Dr. Allen holds the M.A. degree from Central Missouri State University and the Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has served on the National Selection Team for the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival and is currently the Member-at-Large to the KC/ACTF Playwriting Awards Committee. Dr. Allen is particularly interested in international theatre. He has taught at King Alfred's College in Winchester, England and served three years as Director of Fine Arts at Jakarta International School in Indonesia. Most recently, he was awarded a grant in playwriting from the Southeast Asian Studies Center.
