| Dr. Toni Poll-Sorensen is a professor of dance in the Department of Music and Theatre Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her career as a dancer, choreographer and a registered movement therapist has spanned more than 30 years. She has performed with the Gordon Raynor Dancers and on stage with Louis Armstrong and Dinah Shore. She has taught dance in public secondary schools and at universities in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She has also worked as an artist in residence for Very Special Arts and as a guest teacher at numerous regional and national conferences. Toni currently directs the Concert Dance Company at UW-Eau Claire. She is also a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and teaches courses in the technique at UW-Eau Claire and elsewhere. Toni is committed to living a profoundly physical life and is currently a student of Pilates, Authentic Movement and Tai Chi. She is also a Reiki Master. | |
